River Runes Temporary Installation

The Runes are theatrical perspectives of the river dealing with filtration and purity of water. Artpark is sited on a chemical dump; Love Canal is very close to the site. The audience experiences these underground sculptures first through the viewers because of their scale relative to the landscape. At each viewer there is a quotation that expands the image into a more universal concept. The viewing stations are positioned within sight of each other so that the Artpark visitors can discover the Runes as they meander through the park's events.
