This project is a playful way to connect the history of New Britain as the home of the Stanley Tool Company with an informal student sitting area at Central Connecticut University.
Being a student is about being in a transitory
state, these seating elements are about that
state - making connections, sometimes surprising, sometimes wacky, sometimes right on, but
always spirited.

These seats celebrate the act of learning by creatively assembling objects and tools into whimsical seating forms.
